Cute little Fatty

This is my little cutie Hannibal. He is a Peach-Phase Albino Fat-tail Gecko, and isn't he just adorable!? While I was cleaning his cage he snuggled into Dans shirt to take a nap. The second picture is just before I but him back in his tank. I think he may be going to shed soon because his color looks really faded out. I love fattys! About 2 years back I had a breeding trio who produced allot of eggs that I incubated & hatched, but boy was that allot of work. So, I sold them all so we could concentrate mostly on the snakes. I grabbed this guy up a few months ago, with the intentions of eventually getting him some sexy little ladies and breeding them again. You don't find these out there very often. People like the Leopard geckos more cause you can get more color morphs, they are a little easier to keep & easier to breed. But I guess I just have the knack.

New additions

Well, here she is just like I said. The albino is Blaze who you met in my last post, the big girl in with him is Emi (Hindi word for beauty). I love how this picture came out. In between her spots looks like brushed gold leaf! She is a sweetheart to hold. I had to take this picture while Dan was cleaning their cage, and they were in a holding tub. We don't typically house any of our snakes together unless it's breeding time, but these two, being new, are under quarantine, and since they came from the same breeder we're keeping them together. What a GREAT pair!

Burmese Python

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I've been really tired!! Between drunken neighbors (brothers no less) having domestic disputes in the middle of the night to a rooster with insomnia... it's been a rough few days. Anyway, this Gorgeous little fellow is Blaze. I say little cause he's not even a year yet. He is a Tangerine Phase Albino Burmese Python. He and his girlfriend next to him are new arrivals. Our first pair of BURMS!! He's about 4 feet in length & very nosey! But easy to handle. His girl was in shed in this picture so I didn't take one of her. She did shed over the weekend & when I took her pic & loaded it in to the computer I somehow lost it, so I'll work on getting another one soon. These guys can get large, about 2ND longest in the world. The first being the Reticulated python at records of almost 30 feet.

Helping Pop-pop

Helping? I'm not so sure of that, but they sure do try. David looks as though he's tried to sand the fender with his face. At least they're enjoying their time with their Pop. Hope he doesn't mind a few extra dings to bondo out. Well, tonight's UFC fight night so that's all for today.

Beaded Lizards

This is Uno. He is a Mexican Beaded Lizard. We have four, and the other threes names are Dose, Tres, And yep you guessed it Quattro. They all look very much the same, except for a little difference in size, so I won't bother putting pictures up of them. They are funny little lizards. Uno is the biggest so far & he's about 10 inches long and still growing. They have a fat forked tongue they like to flick & if you upset them they open their mouths real wide & hiss. It really does look funny. Hopefully they will be another breeding project in another year or so.

Another common Boa

This is Anu. Named for the Egyptian Goddess of fertility. See how thick her bottom end is?? She is gravid!!! We hope to be seeing her give birth toward the end of next month. Isn't she just gorgeous? She is another one of our "common boas", and boas give birth to live young. Hope the name helps us out here & she has LOTS of babies!!!

Viking

OK, this handsome fellow is Viking (named for the Minnesota Vikings, My team!). He is a Purple Phase Albino Retic, and Vixins mate. The best time to get a picture of these guys, since they're so big, is while they're still in their hide boxes, before we take them out & handle them. He's about 12ft. long and a pleasure to hold! With any luck those eggs will hatch & we'll have a few of these beauties!
