Happy Birthday Mom (Grammy Ace)

I'm sure I'm in for a butt kickin' next time we see her, but Saturday night we had cake & Ice-cream for mom since they'd be leaving on her birthday...(just remember mom, your son Dan was taking these pictures). See, Patrick was driving everyone NUTS with all the picture taking he was doing and as you can see by the last pic in this post, mom had had ENOUGH!

The day after

On Friday we got everyone outside to play a nice game of kick ball. Even my dad played!! For us adults it turned out to be combat kickball! I think Patrick still has welts on his butt from being pegged with the ball so many times & with all the leaves it was VERY slippery so the guys are all lucky they didn't pull a groin muscle. The kids had a BLAST & in the end we were tie 13 - 13. Patrick even tackled me covering 3rd base & somehow managed to get a finger up my nose on the way down (OUCH!) Luckily I had just went in for a quick pee the inning before other wise I'm sure I would have peed myself!! I laughed so darn hard!!! He took most of the pics this weekend, so once he e-mails them to me I'll post some more!

Thanksgiving Day

We had such a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!! Dan's mom, & brother Dave came down & surprised us by bringing Dave's 14 yr. old son Patrick. We weren't sure they'd make it because Sammi, Dave's daughter is expecting & her due date was the 17Th, but little Joey is proving to be the typical stubborn Ace boy! :) And here it is the 30Th & he's still not here. Anyway, I decided to do a 20lb. turkey...not thinking about if it would fit into my roasting pan. As you can see, it made it but just barely & it was a chore getting it back out to carve, but 3 of us working together managed to get it out. We all stuffed ourselves, and I think this was the best lookin' bird I've cooked yet!!

Morning Sky

I took these while walking out to the bus-stop. I used my cell phone cause I don't always travel w/ my good camera. They didn't turn out too bad. Hope you all had a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING.... WE SURE DID!!!

A lazy day

Today was a lazy day here. So I've been going through old photos & scanning them into the computer again to save on a CD. I found this one taken somewhere between August & late Sept. of 2000. What a good lookin' bunch! I also found this one of Teresa, Crystal & Dottie. I had to laugh cause Crystal really looks Gigantic...She had to be wearing heels?!

Funny Stories

OK for those of you who didn't know, last week I had Sam home ALL WEEK with the CROUP. Daniel was very upset because he didn't want to be on the bus by himself. I just had to tell him to toughen up & sit with one of his friends. (He's the most sensitive of the boys) Well, this week Daniel & David are down with the CROUP. So I though Sam would be a bit upset too about the bus thing, but I was wrong. He told me "No, I'll be fine. I'll just sit with Miranda & my LOUSY friend Jessalin." I had to laugh! See the week before he was sick she told him she wanted to be his girlfriend & he doesn't want a girlfriend yet, so he got mad. She is still his friend, but she falls under his "lousy friend" category. The nerve of some girls!:) The other story is about the missing tooth. We've been bugging him for weeks to just give it a little yank & it would pop right out. His words were "NEVER". SO, yesterday they had off for Veteran's Day & he was showing me how he could spin his tooth all the way around (yeah - Gross!). He still would not even attempt to pull it. At noon I was on the phone with Dan & Sam climbed up into my lap facing me, & spinning his tooth. I told Dan what he was doing & he laughed. It was literally hanging on by a string!!! As he was twisting it I gave his had a little tap & out it flew! The look on his face was priceless!!! Surprise, shock & happiness all in one. It was soooo ready it didn't even bleed. I laughed so hard I cried! I think Dan on the other end of the phone did too. AH THE MEMORIES!! Hope todays stories gave you a little chuckle!

School Pics

These are the boys school pics. We don't have Tor's yet cause she just got them taken on 10/31, but I think we'll still have them before Thanksgiving. I'm also still waiting on her pics she had taken at Pocono Mountain. Sam has an odd smile but both of his top from teeth are SUPER loose. I mean like they flap in & out when he breaths, & he won't let us give them even a little tug, so he always looks like he's sorta biting his lip.

Pete - The neighborhood watch dog

This little guy is Pete. He belongs to Mr. & Mrs. Franklin who own the cows & goats, but Pete thinks he owns the neighborhood & kids. He protects the kids & you can bet that where ever the kids are he's there. He's very sweet!!

Playing in the yard

Fuzz Balls

In order from top to bottom is Trinity (F), Cob-web (M), and Licorice (F). We've decided to take in Cob-web & Licorice & Mr. Franklin is going to take Trinity for over at his other farm. The neighbor kids had them hid from their parents & we just couldn't see them neglected, so once again our family has grown.
