HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORI...THE BIG 13!!!

Tor turned 13 on Thurs. but we celebrated today. Who'd have thought she'd make it this long. The next challange is making it to 16 :) She got some of her stuff, but she wanted more new "cool" clothes for school, so I placed a big order with OLD NAVY. It should have been her Thurs., but it's not here yet. Poor kid. Some of her stuff was later last year too.

Eventful Sunday

Well, last Sunday (the 17th) was the crapper of all days! Dan took the boys to High Acres & the Elementary school to play & critter hunt, & somewhere along the way Daniel lost his glasses. We searched for at least 3 hrs total, but to no avail...They were GONE! Then before bed David was messing around the step stool, he was told by me, Sissy & Pop not to & didn't listen. Needless to say he flipped it & smacked his face off the kitchen table. 4 days later it was still a bit swollen. Then that same night after they were put to bed, Daniel came back down saying they had a "bit of a problem." Sam had kicked him in the mouth, knocked out his loose tooth & it was lost somewhere in the bed. After the day we already had all I could do was laugh hysterically till the tears were pouring down me face. AND THAT'S FAMILY LIFE. :)

passing the time

Tor was bored this week & wanted to play with my hair, of course the boys couldn't resist trying out all the cool clips & gadgets. David would have been in on it too, bu he was napping.

Bird fishin'?

This was funny. Monday of this week Sam & David got some sticks & string & pretended to go fishing. Believe it or not the did this ALL DAY without fighting. It was a very quiet day! Then on Tues. they did some of the same except with a bit of a twist. I asked Daniel why Sam was so quiet outside & his reply was " because he's trying to tie a worm to his fishin' string" I had to laugh of course. A minute later he came in and asked Daniel if he wanted to go out and fish for birds with him. The worm was so small you can't even see it in the knot of string. poor thing.

YEP...Back already!!

Bad news! Last Friday shortly after I put up the last post we got word that the closing was a no go! Not because we didn't qualify, but the property didn't...AGAIN. Except this time because the property we were buying (13 acres) was worth 50% more than the house itself. SO WHAT, I say & everyone else I've talked to, but apparently this is a problem with any mortgage you try to get except a Farm loan & 13 acres is not enough to be considered a farm. Well, we've exhausted ourselves this past week trying to get someone to finance this place & it's a no go. SO here we are. For how long I'm not sure, but I think the heavy house hunting is making me lose my mind, so I'm slowing WAY down & enjoying the rest of the summer & hoping a for the best! We'll be posting more pics soon!

Out for a Few

This is going to be my last post for a few weeks. For those of you who don't know, we should be closing on a house on 13 acres in Lenoir, NC on August the 8th. YEAH!!! Once we're in I'm sure this Blog will be flooded with pictures cause the kids will be starting school right after we get our last trip in around the 25th. SO check back around the first week of Sept. I'm hoping to have our Internet & phones up by then. See you all then. :)

Fun in the yard

Last Sunday Uncle Dave & Grammy Ace came up for the evening. They got the kids a Nintendo Wii. How cool! We've been big poo poos when it comes to letting the kids have video games except educational stuff like the Leapster which is GREAT! We did break down & get Tor a Gameboy Advance cause they don't make Leapster games for her age. Now the Nintendo DS has educational stuff now, but didn't at the time. Anyway, this Nintendo Wii is Super!! All of us got pooped after playing it! So if you're considering a gaming system THIS IS the one to get!!! The kids filled some of Daniels extra balloons with water & started to play with Uncle Dave. Some one managed to get in a groin shot I think. But they all had a BLAST!! THANK YOU again Uncle Dave & Grammy Ace!!
