I had to sneak & take these pictures. Today is wonderful! Not too hot, not too cool, sunny, & a nice breeze, but Martha is trying to tell me she's too hot & we need to fill the pool for her. This dog is just too funny! She is laying in it EMPTY, panting like crazy the goof-ball!June 30, 2008
Beautiful Day!

I've added a few of our favorite sites on the side of the blog. Wildlife Conservation is very important to us, as it should be for everyone. This is a beautiful planet we've been given and it should be taken care of for all of us. I urge you all to really check out Amphibian Ark when you have the time. Those slimy little frogs & salamanders are our biggest indicators as to how badly pollution is affecting things. They've been called our "canaries in the coal mine." I could go on about a ton of other things but when you get the chance, please take a look. Thanks!

Comment posting problems
OK, for everyone who has been having problems posting comments, I've changed some of the security settings so as long as you put your name at the end (so I know who's commenting) click the anonymous space before submitting your comment. That should cover it.

The girls!

Here's Hannibal's' Harem. Their names are Clarice, Starling, & Misha. Much cuter than the Millis! To answer some questions about the BIG BUGS. They eat fruits & veggies. If they pinch a little it means they are lacking calcium & protein, so you just give them some crushed egg shell. We saw them at a reptile expo & that's when we got the idea to get them for the boys. They are kept in a 10 gal tank w/ coconut fiber & cypress mulch, slightly damp, with temps ranging from 75*F to 85*F. Pretty simple. Oh & lost of places to hide. Daniel named his Milli-man. Sam named his Chick, and David named his Dinoco. I think that about covers it. I personally will stick with the geckos.:)
Boys Toys
These strange looking creatures are Giant African Millipedes...Perfectly Harmless! We've been promising the boys these for a while but just haven't been able to get them. Believe it or not they're a hot commodity! And about to be hotter because there is now a ban on importing them. I'm hoping that having these for pets (& maybe another breeding project) will keep them from bringing all the creepy crawlies in from outside. Sam's the worst for that, & I am terrified of spiders. (Don't make fun!) I know how weird it sounds considering all the critters we have, but they truly do TERRIFY me! Anyway, So far it has worked though. The only things they have brought in are worms to feed Snap & Snapple (the snapping turtles) That works for me!!!June 18, 2008
BAD NEWS!
Well, since no one seems to really know what they are talking about for this property, it seems it's a flop. Things would be so much easier if you could cut out the 2 or 3 middle men when it comes to real estate & Loan companies. No body ever seems to be on the same page. OH Well. Looks like we'll be making another trip to look at houses again. Ready or Not here we come!

Touched up
HA HA TOO FUNNY!

I just couldn't resist, but I'm sure I'll pay for it at some point, but here it is. I was organizing my "My Pictures" folder and lookie what I found. I've gradually been going through old photos & scanning them in to the computer & touching them up when I can. I think I can clean this one up better, but I couldn't wait to post it. I'm sure I was taking the picture which was usually the case & still is & I think Mike lucked out being a baby. (sorry Mike I can't remember the year you were born). Hope you all enjoy it! Oh it's Christmas 1986.
Making an offer!!!!
Just wanted to let you all know we're putting in an offer on the property w/ 5 acres & 2 houses. So do what ever it is you do best Hope, Pray, Dance, Voodoo, Potions you name it, if it helps it's OK by me!! :) Click Here to View Listings, I hope this works, but you should be able to view the house we're interested in. If not I'll figure something else out. THANKS EVERYONE!!!
More Critters
This pretty girl is Arie. She is a Suriname Red-tail Boa. Hasn't she got some gorgeous colors? She's about 6ft, but should close to double that when she's full grown. She's going on 3 yrs. old so we may breed her this year, but may wait till next with all the moving & stuff we plan to do. Pictures don't do much for how amazing her colors & markings are. They look airbrushed. What a girl!June 15, 2008
Fathers Day at Pappy's
Just a few quick pics we took while visiting Pappy. We gave him his fathers day card everyone helped make & had to bring him a bag of his favorites...Reese's Peanut butter Cups! He had lots of work to do in the garden (which I think has doubled since last years garden), so we stayed for a few & headed out. SURE gonna miss him when we move!June 11, 2008
The GRADUATE

The final recognition. None these pictures came out too well. Gym lighting really stinks!! I touched some of them up the best I could. Believe it or not this picture was so dark, all you could see was the sparkle of her earring. But there's some really good ones of her w/ her friends.
Receiving an award for volunteering her time (recess & study hall) to read to some preschool classes. An intense game

HOT! HOT! HOT!

Yes, believe it or not it was 90* & up here in the Poconos this weekend. But OH THE HUMIDITY! It was almost hard to breathe. This is Sam & Daniel celebrating after a thunderstorm cooled things off a bit. And yes underpants are the swim-trunks of choice for these rednecks! Can you see how pink Daniels legs are, even w/ sunblock on Saturday he managed to burn. The aloe gel seems to be keeping him comfortable though. HOORAY for summer!

OUCHIES!! A lesson learned....Hopefully!

Our little Man Daniel got a painful lesson in why you should listen to your parents this weekend. We are always telling the kids to stay away from the dogs when they are out on the run. Well, Daniel decided it would be fun to go over & throw things for Sassy and ZING! He got caught in the face with the cable when she went to run. He's REALLY lucky it wasn't any worse than this!! I took this picture this morning before school, but last night it was looking much worse. Poor little buddy! OH and YEAH it's finally JUNE! Only 8 days & 2 & 1/2 hrs of school left! Strangely they have off the 12th for teachers in service & they get dismissed at 10:38am on Fri. Sometimes this school confuses me! And Tori's 6th grade graduation is at 9:00am Wed. the 11th. to confuse me even more. Oh well.
